The long awaited return...

I suppose this blog is long over due for an update.
Matthew Cowley Campbell is almost 4 months old now.  He is smiley, snuggly and loads of fun.

Princess Bevy will be 3 years old in March.  She loves to dance, sing and run wild.

We had a wonderful Christmas, and are excited to start a new year.

One Year Old

So Bevy turned one year old today.  She has more than doubled in weight and size, which is saying something when you consider how big she was to begin with.

The bear cake turned out good.

Cat

Beverly has been fascinated with the two cats ever since she noticed them.  We have to be careful how she interacts with them, because she has a tendency to grab and pull.

Beverly VS Spot the Zebra

Beverly has a little zebra toy and when it runs at her she loses it.

So, it's been a while...

So I have been busy and haven't had time to update the blog.  I have had midterms and been to Canada since the last post.  In that time Beverly has learned to sit up on her own and also how to army crawl.

Here she is in her Halloween costume

She has also learned the delights of wrapping paper.

At least for a little while.

A Busy Bevy Day

Bevy got her six month check up.  She is doing great and she even handled her immunizations much better.  Last night as I was drifting off to sleep I was suddenly awakened by the sound of Bevy spitting up.  Guess sleepless nights are the price of having a baby.  She is well worth it.

Much thanks to Mark and Ashley for the use of the baby entertainment/confinement center.  Heidi can now set Bev down without worrying about her rolling into something.

Bevy has learned to use her teeth.  She is particularly good at chomping my finger.  Here she is doing her jaw exercises on her teething ring.

Beverly's In New Clothes

Just a cute pic of Bevy in something more feminine than a oneise.

Bevy Has Chompers

Bevy has started to sprout some teeth.  She didn't seem to have any problems cutting them.  She loves to bite things with her new teeth.

I was changing her and did not get the new diaper under her before she peed so we had to wash the bedding again.  She likes to spit up on the bed too.  Here she is playing on the bed after I stripped it down.

Yummy

Beverly had her first rice cereal.  She loved it.

She has Heidi's smile and my appetite.
Beverly has also been doing this sing song kind of cooing.

Also this week I made the front page of the Moscow Daily News in Idaho

This is what I do all day.

Beverly's First . . .

I was gone last week and will be leaving again this week.  This time when I got back Bevy still remembered who I was!  We experienced a tender mercy Friday.  I had just boarded my flight home, when the stewardess announced that take off would be delayed 45 minutes because a brake pad needed to be changed on the landing gear.  Great, I thought, this is going to take forever.  Those 45 minutes allowed me to take Heidi's call.  Heidi had been exercising and the resistance band had snapped and hit both Heidi and Bevy.  Bevy started screaming and Heidi picked her up in a panic, not noticing her own split knuckle.  Heidi dripped blood on Bevy and assumed that it was Bevy bleeding and well, insanity ensued.  Things only calmed down when a paramedic checked Bevy out and said she was fine.  Heidi loves Bevy like nothing else on this planet and the thought of her baby being hurt scared her beyond belief.  If my flight had not been grounded I would not have been able to calm her.  Even flight delays are tender mercies to those who love the Lord.

The past two weeks have brought several firsts for Beverly.
Her first rainbow

Her first time in a high chair

Unfortunately I do not have a picture for her first time interrupting priesthood opening exercises.  Brother Khuni asked if there were any visitors and she squealed as loud as she could and Brother Khuni recognized her.

Today Bevy was having one of her little conversations with Heidi and I got some pics.

Bevy Likes Baths

After her bath we snuggled Beverly up in a big towel.  She generally likes bath time.  She still goes wide eyed when she gets in the water.  She is starting to sit up a little bit better so it is a little easier to clean her.
